I removed 1 star due to the following: 1) Antifreeze reservoir empty and radiator coolant down approx. 1 inch. 2) Coolant leaked where lower radiator hose attaches at the top thermostat area. I would ordinarily bring the truck back so you could see but I didn’t want to drive it with the coolant leak so I tightened the hose clamp and added Toyota coolant. “I filled out a 5 star review at first but I now must reduce my review from 5 stars to 4 due to missed lubrication on my 2000 Toyota LandCruiser. I scheduled for a major lubrication and specifically mentioned I needed both propeller shafts and all U joints lubricated. See it mentioned on the invoice. I noticed the next day that the front U joint and front propeller shaft were NOT lubricated – no fresh grease on the fittings; these are the ones that are hard to get to and why I needed BA to do the work. I brought the truck back the next day (9/13/2017) and Brady and I both got under the truck to confirm. Everyone was very nice, dropped what they were doing and lubed both the fittings which required grease tools I do not have. Thanks for listening.” overall rating = four stars

If I had brought it in, you guys diagnosed it, and then I drove home, I could easily understand. I did not simply drive home though, I let you fix the car. Then I was charged the $125 diagnostic PLUS the parts and labor for the repair. I don’t understand why any diagnosis wasn’t just included in the overall labor cost. “This service was for my granddaughter’s Scion, which had not had a full service for some time and was performing erratically at speeds of 40mph & over. The mechanics immediately found that the spark plugs had not been replaced for some time, and the transmission oil was very old. Replacing these items and performing all the checks of a 6 month service, including replacing the windshield wipers, put the car back to performing very well. She has since been to Charlottesville VA and back with the car performing very well, which made the trip much easier. And the wipers really helped during some rainy weather. “This was my first experience with BA auto care, and the event left me unhappy and unsatisfied. I took the car to BA as your web site suggested customer service was a priority. I did not see it.
I bought a 2007 VW in for MD state inspection. I scheduled an appointment on Monday (holiday) so I wouldn’t have to miss work. I was advised Monday about noon that the car needed two new axels (torn outer boot both), as well as one tire and two bulbs to pass inspection. I was assured by the service advisor that it was in my best interest to replace both axels instead of rebuild, as the cost was similar and both CV joints and boots (inner and outer) would be new. I was also assured that all work would be completed by the end of the day. I agreed to the new axels and 4 new tires. About 4PM on Monday I was advised that the work could not be completed on time as there were issues getting the axel out of the transmission, and I was assured it was in my best interest for BA not to force it. The next day (Tuesday) I contacted the service advisor about 9am and was told BA decided to rebuild the outer axel, and it was in my best interest, even though it was going to cost the same as a new axel. Although it had been in my best interest to replace with new the day before, now I would have to live with a rebuild, for the same cost, oh well. And, although I asked for the old boots, a rebuild would destroy them so the service advisor took close up pictures of what looked like CV boots installed on a car. That would have to be good enough. I wasn’t given a choice or options. As requested, I was shown the old tires that were replaced.
BA was unable to deliver the services promised, replace both axels, and was unable to meet the promised schedule (which cost me time off of work). I did not sense the commitment to customer service described on your web site, and I saw no effort from the advisor to make this event right. The advisor was polite throughout the entire process, just didn’t seem interested, or concerned this was not going as promised and made no effort to make the event right. I believe he suggested I paid to get my car inspected, and then repaired, and that’s what I got.
I believe customer service is not about how you act and what you do when things go as planned (and promised), it’s about how you act and what you do, when they don’t. This was a thoroughly frustrating and disappointing experience.” overall rating = one star

“Very distressed! I picked up the car just as the shop was closing. It was not running well when I drove away; it even stalled a couple of times as I slowed down. When I got on the highway, I noticed the car was overheating, so I got off at the next exit. I managed to get it mainly clear of traffic, only to have it start to smoke quite unpleasantly. When I investigated, it appears that the radiator had gone dry; this was not a problem before i left the vehicle there.

The descriptions for both on the invoice are the same. Other items noted was no charge in June for an oil filter, but $7.90 now. Top of fluids charge of $2.51 now versus $.54 this time round. Quoted $69 for a complete tire balance and rotation. Left out of the quote was the labor. (which came to $161 for both services) Quoting me $69 on the phone, without including labor is a classic bait and switch. This is a continuing pattern at BA Auto Care of what I would, at a minimum, classify as somewhat deceptive. It’s very, very disappointing. I am very disappointed in the work performed by the mechanic who worked on my Tahoe on May 28th. This is unusual in my 20 years experience with BA. I was told that my break pads were fine. When I came back reporting the grinding sound from the breaks, I was told the car basically had no pad left and was unsafe to drive. The service advisor showed me the mechanic’s incorrect notation on the paperwork showing back breaks at 3/32. One would have to assume that the mechanic didn’t check the pads at all. This cost me a return trip and a loss of 3 hours of vacation time to bring the car back Tuesday morning.
